Abbe May tours Australia in celebration of the success of her critically acclaimed fifth album “Fruit”, praised widely as one of the most important Australian albums of the year.

The electro blues pop gunslinger has just announced an Australian tour and the release of a limited edition of just 200 autographed, hand numbered, 180g vinyl records of the much loved 15 track LP.

Fruit on Vinyl will be available at all shows.

“I wanted to honour the album by pressing it to vinyl. Because it is such a personal album, you know, it is a really open declaration of identity and of my life as a gay person, and I am glad that it has been taken as it is intended to be; a clear signal for anyone who needs protection because they don’t feel safe yet; you can stand with me because I’ve been there and I want to help. I know how to help. It’s simple; you just stand up and be real,” said Abbe.
“It’s been such a mad year after releasing Fruit, everything is different. Last year was just pure hell. I guess it’s the relief of five years of work finally being released. That is a huge weight off my shoulders.”
“Boasts the kind of songwriting an artist like Prince might once have been responsible for.” Christopher H. James – The Music
“Fruit… is her most accomplished piece of art.” Joshua Leeson – The Herald
“Her at her best.” Dan Condon – Double J
“One of the important albums of 2018.” Bernard Zuel
