EVENT GUIDE TOP 5 What you can’t miss this week…

Perth’s premier Event Guide is never more than a click away and as ever this week we’ve got you covered with the hottest music, arts, comedy and more. Here’s what’s on offer from Thursday, 19th July to Thursday, 26th July.

1. Joel Creasey

If you’re looking for some cheap mid-week entertaiment, look no further. One of Perth’s best-loved comedians Joel Creasey is putting on a FREE 18+ show tomorrow night at the Winter Fest Dome in Yagan Square.

2. Segue single launch w/ Telete & Hi. Ok, Sorry

A dreamy, synthy night is to be had on Friday at The Bird, with Segue‘s latest offering Wake Up/Make Up being celebrated. Be there by 8pm to see them alongside Telete and Hi. Ok, Sorry.

3. Kimbra

A NZ artist we often like to consider one of our own, Kimbra is back in town playing the Rosemount Hotel in support of her latest album Primal Heart. She’s not as frequent a visitor these days, so if you only know her from Somebody That I Used To Know, this is the perfect opportunity to catch one of her arty solo shows.

4. Tangents w/ Grievous Bodily Calm & Ben Taaffe

One for the experimental lovers out there: Sydney’s Tangents are taking their acclaimed new album New Bodies out for a spin around Aus. They’ll be stopping at the Rosemount Hotel on Sunday night with beat musicians Grievous Bodily Calm and DJ Ben Taaffe in tow.

5. U Betta Recognise exhibition launch

The Bird is hosting the opening of Sahu’s hip-hop portrait series, which “pays homage to some of the most influential artists in the game”. Things kick off from 6pm on Monday and the event will be supported by DJs Baransu, Wit and dt.
