EVENT GUIDE TOP 5 WAMFest, Bill Murray, Superjesus…

As we enter November and the weather heats up, so too does the quality of entertainment we will be seeing around our city. Here are five of our top picks for events happening around Perth this week. If there’s ever something you’ve got going on that you want us to list in our Event Guide, send us an email at guide@xpressmag.com.au with all relevant information and images.

1. WAMFest

Our city’s annual showcase of the best local talent is taking place all over the CBD tomorrow and Saturday. Among the featured artists are Sly Withers, Soukouss Internationale, Noah Dillon and Davey Craddock.

2. The Superjesus

One of the greatest things to come out of 90s alternative rock in Australia was undoubtedly The Superjesus, and they’re on the road once more, stopping at the Newport Hotel tomorrow evening and Amplifier Bar the following.

3. Bill Murray, Jan Vogler and Friends

It really isn’t every day that you get a bunch of virtuosos on stage with a comedy genius all at the same time, let alone in your own city. Bill Murray and his cellist pal Jan Vogler take to the PCEC stage next Wednesday night.

4. Canning Show

The Canning Show is not your average small-town fair. Boasting the usual rides, stalls, fireworks and fun, it will also feature performances from The Merindas, Adam Hall & the Soul Playboys and a talent quest to boot. Check it out this weekend, starting tomorrow at 5.

5. Medusa

Starting this evening at the Blue Room Theatre is the story of that mysterious snake-haired woman we hear so much of, yet still know so little about. The show runs all weekend, so take the opportunity to see what the mystique is all about.
