CITY OF STIRLING’S SUMMERSET ARTS FESTIVAL is back in 2017

City of Stirling’s Summerset Arts Festival will return for its ninth year in 2017 boasting 17 days of events to suit everyone.

There will be over 50 free and low cost events running across a range of sites throughout the City of Stirling between Friday, January 20 and Sunday, February 5 showcasing the heritage, diversity and culture of the area.

The award-winning pop-up Sunset Veranda will be back with an assortment of Fringe World shows and family fun events. Food and drinks will be available for people to enjoy the sunset views from Brighton reserve this year’s pop-up venue.

The Summerset Concert a popular fixture will celebrate the closing of the Festival with Methyl Ethel as the headline act and Cub sport also performing as well as a range of other local acts.

The Mayor Cr Giovanni Italiano said ‘I guarantee there will be something for everyone with comedy, music, theatre, circus, cabaret, film, family entertainment and more, featuring incredible artists from around Australia.’

The Mayor believes that the Festival has helped to establish the city of Stirling as a hub for great cultural events.

The Festival Launch will take place at 5pm of the January 20 at the Sunset Veranda with two all ages sessions and an adults only session.
