CATS THE MUSICAL Meowing to WA

Following the success of sold out shows We Will Rock You and Jesus Christ Superstar, the hit musical Cats heads to Mandurah in October at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, and Perth in November at the Quarry Amphitheatre, City Beach.

The fourth-longest running Broadway musical in theatre history, Cats will wow audiences in a spectacle for the senses featuring a live band, full choir, silks aerialists, roller skates and so much more. While the music stays true to the original score, gone is the traditional dark and gloomy alleyway set of previous productions, replaced with colour, vibrancy and energy. Well-known and loved songs like Memory, Mr Mistoffelees and The Rum Tum Tugger makes this an event for the whole family to enjoy.

The stage show follows Grizabella, Gus the Theatre Cat, the Rum Tum Tugger and many more quirky characters from TS Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats in a musical loved by all ages.

Cats the Musical will boast incredible talent from Western Australia. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking, award-winning phenomenon has been reimagined for the local stage, featuring Mikey Keith as Rum Tum Tugger, Dean Misdale (AKA Feminem) as Old Deuteronomy, and Paula Parore (The Voice Australia) as Grizabella. Parore will perform alongside her husband and fellow The Voice alumni, Clay Darius, as he plays the energetic narrator, Munkustrap.

Cats The Musical heads to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre October 10-13, and to Perth at the Quarry Amphitheatre in City Beach November 6-10 then 14-16.
