BRITISH INDIA Introduce new guitarist on WA tour


Returning to WA for the first time in 15 months, British India are coming in hard with a new tour. Following the departure of lead guitarist Nic Wilson in January, new axeman Jack Tosi will be introduced at the coming shows. Exciting!

The tour will begin in Bunbury at the Prince of Wales Hotel on February 20, then head to the Stirling Arms, Guilford on February 21, followed by Badlands Bar on February 22, and the Indian Ocean Hotel, Scarborough on February 23.

Drummer Matt O’Gorman happened to be old friends with Jack Tosi and felt it was about time they had a jam session which is how Tosi ended up in the band. He was the one and only guitarist British India auditioned and as vocalist and guitarist Declan Melia tells it, it was meant to be.

British India have released six LPs and earned four top 10 ARIA albums, eight entries into the Hottest 100 and the ARIA Gold accredited single, I Can Make You Love Me.

British India play Prince of Wales, Bunbury on February 20, Stirling Arms, Guilford on February 21, Badlands Bar on February 22 and Indian Ocean Hotel, Scarborough on February 23. Tickets from Oztix.
