BON IVER I told you to be patient

Bon Iver
is returning to Perth for the first time in eight years, with a massive audiovisual extravaganza announced for RAC Arena on Tuesday, June 27. Having seen his inspired previous tours to our parts, we’re confident he’s got the chops to step it up at the larger venue.

It will be the final show of an arena tour of Australia and New Zealand in support of acclaimed new album i,i.  Led by the enigmatic Justin Vernon, the tour represents Bon Iver’s first visit to Australia since they headlined VividLIVE in 2016, selling out four Sydney Opera House shows. Their visit down under will also feature a headlining set at Hobart’s Dark Mofo festival.

Featuring a full band and immersive new production, these shows are said to be their most ambitious Australian shows to date.

i,i features guest appearances from James Blake, Brad and Phil Cook, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Bruce Hornsby, Channy Leaneagh, Naeem Juwan, Velvet Negroni, Marta Salogni, Francis Starlite, Moses Sumney, TU Dance, and many others. The album completes a cycle: from the winter of For Emma, Forever Ago came the frenetic spring of his self titled second album Bon Iver, followed by the unhinged summer of 22, A Million. On i,i, the northern hemisphere’s autumn marked Bon Iver’s most expansive and generous album yet.

i,i is out now. Bon Iver plays RAC Arena on Tuesday, June 27, 2020. Tickets go on sale Thursday, December 5 from Handsome Tours.
