The Centenary of ANZAC will be celebrated this month, and in a special collaboration Tex Perkins has recorded a song called One Minute’s Silence featuring Australian Rules Football icon, Ron Barassi. Also taking part are The Steel Springs, The Welsh Choir, with Barassi who providing the voice of an unknown soldier.
One Minute’s Silence was written by Matthew Hardy author of the best-seller Saturday Afternoon Fever, aided by musician Richard Gillard. This song will be performed live for the very first time by The Steel Springs with Tex Perkins at the MCG (Essendon v. Collingwood game) on Anzac Day, Saturday, April 25.
The single is available via iTunes for $2.19 with proceeds to LEGACY.
