This week in Perth events we say goodbye to another year of FRINGE WORLD, kick on with Perth Festival and welcome some national icons to our city. 1. Fringe farewell
This Sunday, February 17 marks the end of another year of the coveted Perth FRINGE WORLD. Highlights in the coming week include the highly acclaimed cabaret/circus Blanc de Blanc, the Best of Fest comedy highlights and the interactive art piece Interwoven. Check out the Fringe site for tonnes more.
2. Perth Festival
Another fab festival is continuing to churn out the goods this week, with shows such as the Mozart’s The Magic Flute comedy opera, musician Cat Power alongside Carla Geneve at Chevron Gardens and a community-centred bit of theatre with Our Town in the State Theatre Centre courtyard.
3. Something For Kate ft. Adam Said Galore reunion
Not only are Aussie alternative royalty Something For Kate heading to Badlands Bar this weekend, but legends of the Perth 90s scene Adam Said Galore have reunited and will be supporting. Calmly and Kaitlin Keegan will also be there to entertain in the earlier hours, so get there when gates open at 5pm for the full experience.
4. RTRFM Harbour Sundays
They say it themselves; it’s the “best spot in Perth to watch the sun go down”, and what better way to kick off your week than with some picturesque views, local live music and drinks? Head down to the Maritime Museum in Freo from 5 for some undoubtedly chill vibes.
5. Nicholas Allbrook
You probably know him best as the ex-Tame Impala bassist and the mastermind behind Pond, but Nicholas Allbrook is going solo for his latest show at The Bird this Saturday (Feb 16) eve. Accompanied by Adrian Dzvuke and DJ Lindsay Slowhand, it’s bound to be a treat in all respects.
