It’s New Year’s Eve! And with so much on offer it’s hard to pick where to spend the last moments of 2016 with your friends and loved ones. We are here to help! With a city full of events that are shaping up to be a grand send off to a tumultuous year, here are our top picks for tonight. Well.. we all know where we won’t be going, right, right?! BADLANDS BAR – Badlands Blowout

It has been a great year for Badlands Bar, the venue that opened up in the wake of the infamous Devilles Pad. It certainly has helped fill that void of quality live music venues and has quickly become the weekly mecca for musos and punters alike. This New Year’s Eve is set to blow with 12 bands playing across 2 stages and the beer garden.

Catch Salary, Childsaint, Jacob Diamond, The Floors, Verge Collection and The Kill Devil Hills on the main stage with The Shakeys, Braves, Segue Safari, PUCK, HUSSY, Thee Loose Hounds on the Hen House stage and Timothy Nelson in the beer garden. It kicks off at 6pm and goes until the last band finishes at 2am.

ROSEMOUNT HOTEL – NYE Fiesta

Still going strong as Perth’s premiere music venue and watering hole, The Rosemount Hotel is a staple on the weekend calendar. Their NYE Fiesta looks massive, spanning three stages and featuring 14 bands and DJs.

With Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Pow! Negro, Benjamin Witt, Doctopus, Reef Prince ft. DJ Hame on the main stage, The Chlorines, Foam, Cloning The Mammoth, Demon Days and Spacey Jane in Four5nine and Soukouss Internationale, DJ Caitlin Neinaber, DJ Shannon Fox and DJ Holly Doll in the backyard beer garden, this show will be off the chain! Running from 6pm until 2am.

EZRA POUND – Freedomtime NYE Block Party

Hello, what’s this? Ezra Pound are holding a Block Party in the carpark behind the funky-alley-small bar. Tickets are selling hot to this one-off event with pre-sale and second release tickets already sold out, and only a few final release tickets still available, get in quick!

The block party features Theo Parrish (USA), Nick The Record (UK), Tako & Izabel (NL/VIC), Crown Ruler Sound (VIC) and locals Rok Riley vs Roza Terenzi, The Bens, Methods of Movement, Hugo Gerani, Mike Midnight, Mango x Consulate x Tred, KBI DJ’s, Jon Robson, Dave Clark, Bun Dem DJ’s and All Fruits Ripe DJ’s.

DEATHDISCO – Capitol NYE

The institution that is Club Capitol’s DeathDisco is turning up the heat to put on an epic New Year’s Eve event. Bringing in heavy hitters in the form of Pon Cho – Thundamental’s DJ/Producer extraordinaire as well as Axen, Death Disco DJ’s and some special surprise guests!

The event is at Captiol and it kicks off at 9pm and follows through to 5am into the New Year!

NORTHBRIDGE – New Year’s Eve Northbridge

James Street lights up again for the City Of Perth’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. It is a free outdoor event offering family entertainment across two stages in Northbridge. Stretching from the Northbridge Piazza stage and screen all the way down James Street to the PICA Cultural Centre stage.

There will be street performers, movies for the kids, balloons, kid’s DJ music, dancing and games, an early count down for the kids including a digital countdown from 30 seconds, pyros and handheld confetti cannons. Sounds like great fun for those families with little ones that still want to get out and party!

Moscow Mules ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’ New Year’s Eve

Moscow Mules are playing the Arctic Monkey’s modern day classic ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not‘ and other AM’s hits at Amplifier Bar this New Years Eve. This is a full on rock line-up with The Caballeros and Imperials supporting.
